PSAT / NMSQT Testing | Wednesday, October 12th, 2022
On Wednesday, October 12th, Waubonsie Valley will be administering the College Board PSAT/NMSQT. Registration for the PSAT/NMSQT took place from August 8th - September 12th and is now closed. The PSAT/NMSQT is a junior year exam that qualifies students for participation in the National Merit Scholarship Competition. Students may confirm their registration by click the link at the bottom of this page and searching for their Student ID Number. All registered junior students have been assigned a testing location, for most students this will be the field house. Students should plan on arriving at school and reporting to their assigned testing location and seat. Students can look up their assigned field house court/row using the chart below.
Students will be admitted to the field house starting at 7:10am. Students must report to testing no later than 7:25am. Students are encourage to come prepared with a photo ID, approved calculator and no. 2 pencils. Students participating in the PSAT/NMSQT will be excused from 1st-5th period on the day of the exam, and will be expected to return to class at the conclusion of testing. Students with an earlier lunch period will be dismissed to the cafeteria and then expected to return to class.
Prior to test day, students are asked to update their College Board accounts to ensure a timely release of score information. Some students may have multiple College Board accounts and merging these accounts prior to taking the PSAT can eliminate potential delays. Please watch the video linked below and follow along to make sure your College Board account is updated and ready for test day.
Please watch this video for further test day expectations: Test Day Expectations. Students may also visit their House to pick up a hard copy of the PSAT Student Guide, which contains PSAT/NMSQT information, test-taking advice and an official practice test.
