2025 AP Exams | Monday May 5 - Friday May 16
AP Exams begin on May 5, 2025 here at Waubonsie Valley. AP Exams for 2025 are moving to a digital or hybrid format and will be taken at school. All students registered for this May’s AP exams are advised to review the AP Exam schedule linked below. Students can verify their exam status by logging into their College Board account and visiting the My AP Classroom section. Only students who are registered to test with College Board will be admitted to the exam. Exams are non-transferable.
Students must be present at their assigned testing location by the check-in time listed on the linked chart (7:25am for morning exams and 11:45am for afternoon exams). Students will complete 15-20mins of pre-administration activities before each exam they take. AP Exams vary in length, and some exams may not conclude until after the school day ends. In addition to the exam length outlined by College Board, the exams have breaks and administration activities that can add 30+mins to an exam. Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation following afternoon exam sessions. Please be aware that students are not accessible by phone during an exam.
Registration for 2025 AP Exams opened in September 2024 and late registration officially closed on March 4, 2025. Exams have been ordered and materials shipped by the College Board. Each exam is linked to a specific student based on the registration in the student’s College Board My AP Classroom account. Waubonsie Valley is unable to process any additional requests for exams at this time, including standby exams. Because all exams have been ordered and shipped, refunds can not be issued for canceled or abandoned exams.
Students should bring the following items to AP Exams:
Chromebook, No.2 Pencils, pens with blue/black ink, acceptable calculators if your AP Exam allows calculators, photo ID, a watch that does not have internet access or make noise
Students are advised not to bring the following items to AP Exams:
Cell phones (these will be collected if brought to testing), electronic devices, watches with alarms/noise, study/reference materials, other items outlined by College Board. If students bring water/snacks to AP testing, these items must remain away from the students’ desk and only taken out during breaks. Food/drink can not be consumed near testing materials.
Please reach out to your school counselor with questions about 2025 AP Exams.

Lunch During AP Exams:
In the event that a student misses lunch due to a scheduled AP Exam, they will be given the opportunity to eat before returning to class for the day. Students taking a morning exam who have periods 3, 4, or 5 lunch will be permitted to eat immediately following their AP Exam. Students with an afternoon exam who have periods 6 or 7 lunch should plan on eating lunch during 5th period prior to checking in for their AP Exam. Class houses will adjust attendance accordingly.
Absences During AP Exams:
College Board expects all students to test on the date of their scheduled AP Exam. In the rare case of an unavoidable absence on the assigned date of a student's AP Exam, Waubonsie Valley will adhere to a strict makeup procedure. Any absences during AP Exams that request a makeup exam must be communicated in writing to the student's school counselor and Director of Guidance. Students should also submit documentation of illness or unavoidable conflict. Makeup exams are not guaranteed and require school submittal through the College Board ordering system. Depending on reason for absence and documentation provided, a late exam fee of $40 may be charged before a late exam is approved. Even if approved by College Board, a late fee may be charged to secure exam proctors.
